Velou is seeking a Sales Engineer who excels at solving complex customer problems and driving large-scale deals. As a key technical advisor, you will work closely with our sales team, providing compelling, value-based demonstrations, supporting enterprise-level proof of concepts (POCs), and playing a pivotal role in closing business. You will be the bridge between our customers’ business needs and the technical capabilities of Velou’s solutions, guiding prospects from demo to implementation.

You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done. Equally adept in both business and technical settings, you seamlessly engage with executives and technical teams, helping customers unlock the full potential of AI-powered ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales team to engage prospects, understand their challenges, and strategize on how to win deals.
  • Present Velou’s technology and vision to executives, technical contributors, and customers, delivering engaging product demos and technical deep dives.
  • Lead technical discussions with enterprise customers, guiding them through demos, proof of concepts, and design/implementation stages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to refine Velou’s business roadmap and customer messaging.
  • Drive large commercial deals, serving as the technical expert in Velou’s biggest opportunities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, and how to position Velou against them.
  • Contribute to product development by providing customer feedback to enhance our AI-driven ecommerce solutions.
  • Shape the revenue engine by playing a central role in building a successful, scalable sales process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Sales Engineer in a SaaS environment.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive-level audiences, whether through live demos, presentations, or whiteboard sessions.
  • A broad technical background, particularly with APIs, technical integrations, and ecommerce platforms and solutions.
  • The ability to align a customer’s business problems with Velou’s AI-powered solutions.
  • A passion for AI and ecommerce, with the desire to stay on the cutting edge of both industries.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience working with technical products and environments like AI, machine learning, and product data optimization is a plus.
