Account Executive

Velou is seeking a driven and strategic Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and closing deals to managing and expanding existing relationships. We’re looking for someone who can execute short and long-term sales strategies, engage with internal and external stakeholders, align on technical and business requirements, build value in competitive situations, lead commercial negotiations, and successfully close deals. Velou has an SDR team that will be also prospecting for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Sales Strategies: Prospect, qualify, and close new business deals with large enterprise companies, leveraging your strategic insight to cultivate them and execute short and long-term sales strategies, driving revenue growth and expanding Velou’s presence within their organizations.
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales process, from developing business cases to structuring deals, negotiating terms, and closing agreements.
- Team Collaboration: Lead and contribute to team projects aimed at refining the sales process, shaping Velou’s sales culture, and enhancing overall team performance.
- Account Expansion: Create detailed account plans and identify cross-selling opportunities to drive growth through new revenue streams within your strategic accounts.
- Negotiation and Deal Strategy: Lead commercial negotiations and develop strategies for large, complex renewals, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the client and Velou.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with executive stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their challenges and working collaboratively to deliver tailored solutions.
- Account Mapping and Coordination: Conduct account mapping to identify key decision-makers and coordinate effective meetings, strengthening the customer relationship.
- Team Collaboration: Lead and contribute to team projects aimed at refining the sales process, shaping Velou’s sales culture, and enhancing overall team performance.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience, ideally with a technical product, demonstrating a track record of top performance.
- You have consistently exceeded monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets, particularly with large enterprise clients.
- Ability to understand and translate technical requirements into tailored solutions across multiple products.
- Experience developing and executing account plans that span multiple teams/departments such as ecommerce, marketing and merchandising within enterprise-level retailers, brands and marketplaces.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Exceptional presentation skills, especially in conducting in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven success in leading complex negotiations involving customized commercial agreements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of the ecommerce space.
